Dan Wilson Lead Guitar, Vocals | At about age 13, Dan's parents bought him a guitar and he immediately fell in love with the instrument. It was all downhill from there and formed a band in high school called Monarch. He found the rush of performing as he cranked it up at a high school assembly and drove all the teacers out and all the students in the hallway in.
Dan continued playing in several bands from that time forward. He was lead guitarist for "Mountain Fever", "Majesty", and "Jailbait". (Dan says "if anyone's actually heard of any of these - my apologies, and I'd love to hear from you!") He even moved to the Seattle area for a few months with his bass player to chase his dream of making it big. He played for several bands since then and took some time off after he got married. In 2003, he formed the band "7th String" which morphed to "Five on the Fly." Dan loves to play live and loves the energy, chemistry and showmanship of "Five on the Fly". He says he is having more fun now than he ever has.

Mark Stone Bass Guitar, Vocals | Mark loves music! He started playing guitar when he was 10 years old. Once, when forming another group in the early 90's he couldn't find a bass player to compliment the two guitar band. So...... he decided to play bass and has been playing in the lower register ever since. Playing in bands like "After Hours" and "RAVE" for a dozen or so years Mark decided to hang up the "band thing" and started DJ'ing for about 8 years. Realizing how much he missed live music and performance, he jumped at the opportunity to get back in and play with this awesome group of people called "Five On The Fly". Judging from the big grin on Mark's face at each gig we think he's pretty happy to be back in the game!

Will Terris Drums, Vocals | Will was born in Canada, but has lived in the USA most of his life. He has played drums since he was 15 and had a desire to play long before that. It has been said that he was born with drumsticks and a smile! Over the years he has played in many local bands all over the western states: Utah, Wyoming, Nevada, and California just to name a few. Most recently he has played with "DC Riders" and "Mixed Nuts". Will is a singing drummer that enjoys entertaining and helping people forget their troubles for a while. Music is his passion and at times his escape. When it all comes together, there is no other high like it! That is why Will has found his way to "Five on the Fly" and their commitment to make great music.

Jared Budge Keyboards, Vocals | Jared was raised in Pittsburg, a small Northern California “Steel Town” that rests beside the California Delta and in the Shadows of Mt. Diablo in the San Francisco Bay Area. He spent 36 years there, and we suppose that his love of music, and much of who he is musically, is the result of growing up in a diverse community where Music and the Performing Arts were a significant part of the culture.
Jared’s Mom sent him to piano lessons with Mrs. Muceus when he was in Elementary School, but he was frustrated by the boring songs he had to learn as part of the infamous “Alfred d’Auberge Piano Course.” Jared wanted to play what was on the radio (KFRC) and soon discovered that he had a good ear for music and could figure out just about any song he heard and play it on the Piano. He hasn’t stopped since. In High School and College, the music that came streaming out of the Pioneer cassette deck of his 1978 Toyota Truck was primarily Funk, Soul and Billy Joel. (Hey… that rhymes! Could be a song in there…) Other early influences include Earth Wind & Fire, Chicago, Bryan Adams, The Tubes, Boston, The Commodores, The Eagles, Michael Jackson, Queen, Parliament, Steely Dan, Van Halen and many more.Over the years, Jared has performed in a variety of musical groups. As a trumpet player in college he performed with Jazz greats Joe Williams, Tom Scott and Spyro Gyra. As the keyboard player for “Sound Pilot” (a popular Bay Area cover band) he opened for acts including Loverboy, Eddie Money, Juice Newton, Con Funk Shun, John Cafferty, Mitch Ryder and the Guess Who. After 24 Years of Marriage, five kids and a move to Utah Jared still loves the thrill of perfect harmony, tight breaks and entertaining a crowd through great music. Jared is finding all that and more with “Five on the Fly”.
